Bible verse of the day

He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
2 Timothy 1:9

Reach Out And Touch The Lord

Posted on July 1, 2018 by Ebenezer Wesleyan Methodist Church Posted in Pastor's Corner, Sermon Outline

TEXT: St. Mark 5: 25-34

OUTLINE: A woman sought Jesus for healing after twelve years of ailment.

CONTENT: Jesus in his early ministry met people with issues and dealt with them all
successfully.
Today we like that woman who Jesus encountered, have many issues like homelessness,
hunger, joblessness, broken relationships, to name a few. Our issues will not go away
unless we try Jesus. This woman however suffered with an issue of blood for twelve years,
and having used up all her resources, decided to do something different by going to the
right source.
(1) She decided to see Jesus by any means.
(2) She pressed through a crowd in order to just touch his clothing.
(3) She activated her faith; that even touching his garment could bring healing. We too must seek
ways and be persistent in order to accomplish our goals. She must have heard of the miracles
Jesus performed.
(4) Her prayers were answered. However, not before Jesus asked “who touched me”, because he
felt virtue, go out from Him. Jesus complimented her for her faith.
We all have issues of one kind or other and must seek God the only one who can solve all
our issues. To the graduates and candidates today, if you ever want to reach your goal, and
church, to be strong in the Lord…… be constant in your prayer life, not only for yourselves
but make intercession for others, and Persevere in Faith.

THOUGHT

Jesus answers prayers, earnest prayers. Reach out to Him.
