TEXT: Luke 3:4, Isaiah 40:3-5.
OUTLINE: Isaiah’s prophesy of judgment on Israel and the coming of Jesus.
CONTENT: Two kings planned to invade Judah, but God intervened and sent Isaiah to
prophesy what the outcome would be. He prophesied the coming of a baby to be born of a virgin,
and will be called Immanuel. He also predicted his food intake, which will govern his spiritual
being, Isaiah 7: 15. He had to live the life of human and know right from wrong. Jesus’ birth was
as was prophesied; Isaiah 9:6. He had many names as his life demonstrated,
Prince of Peace, Emmanuel, meaning God with us; as in seen throughout scripture, and in
Jesus will never leave us or forsake us, even when we go through the storms of life; when family
and friends forsake us, even in death he will be with us, Romans 8: 31. When we sin, He forgives
us and redeems us. His first proof of redemption was with Adam and Eve. He provided clothing
for them, but not without consequences, Genesis 3. Jesus continues to show mercy and promises
to save us and uphold us with His mighty right hand. Surrender all to Jesus. Put away all that
hinders from serving Him. He gives and loves unconditionally. Take God with you wherever you
go. He promised when he goes to send us a comforter, (The Holy Spirit) to be with us. Our best
gift is Emmanuel. He came to die to free us from our sins.
Because we have no faith, we give up easily and Satan comes in to block us from our blessing.
Trust God in all you do.
