"Admitting That Our Faith Falters"

Time is an excellent teacher in our Christian walk with God. If you know the Lord and believe in Him and His power, there is no obstacle which we cannot face in our spiritual growth. The father was contending with doubts and fears, questioning his beliefs and faltering in faith. As humans beings we will falter in our Faith.
In this story the father:
a) He made a statement of Honesty: Always try to be honest with the Lord. This father wanted to believe in the Lord's power. Jesus knows of our weakness in our faith even before we utter them to Him. Even the best or strongest believer has doubts. In (Matthew 11:1-6), John asked, "Are you the One, Lord?" John had a time of faltering while in prison.
b) He made a statement of serious concern: This father did not believe enough; his faith could have been stronger to deal with circumstances, but instead of rebuking him Jesus asked for compassion. He wanted to build up his faith. If faith is not there you give up easily. Trust that God will always be there to build you up. He has made a way in the past and He will in the future. Let go, and Let God. Trust God.
c) He made a statement of Sincere Desire: This father was concerned about his child, so he cried out with tears showing intense desperation for his child. When we are honest with God, He proves His power when we admit that we have faltered. Ask God, in sincerity, to move away the mountains

THOUGHT
Step out into the unknown and believe.
