Standing at the Crossroads

Life is full choices; there are decisions to be made. Some choices make significant impact on our lives, e.g. voting in the presidential elections, but the most important choices we as Christians can make is to follow Jesus. Sometimes we find ourselves standing at the Crossroads, but Verses 13 and 14, gives 2 distinct paths to choose from. Let us look at three (3) points:
a) The Entrance to eternal or abundant Life:- We are faced with 2 gates-the wide gate and the narrow gate. We can enter the wide gate easily. Many can go through together at the sametime. Jesus implies that the wide gate is inviting, while the narrow does not have much room. It's not the most traveled gate, but if we want to see Jesus we must go through this narrow gate by experiencing hardships and turmoil, sorrow and despair.
b) The Path:- After we pass the entrance to the two gates, before us lies the path. Again one is the wide path and the other is the narrow path. Jesus encourages us to walk the narrow path. It takes two things to do this a) Discipline and b)Desire. The narrow path leads to glory.
c) The Destination:- If we do not accept Jesus, we cannot go to heaven. Hell is a place of conscious torment and regret. If you walk through the wide path - this leads to destruction, while walking through the straight and narrow path leads to eternal life. The choices we make will eventually allow us to have connections with Jesus Christ, and receive the blessings He promised to us. He promised to be the way, the truth and the life.

THOUGHT
Standing at the crossroads the choice is yours to make. One road right, the other left-which one will you take?
