Heeding God’s Call!

God called Jeremiah and gave him an assignment to which Jeremiah had an excuse of being young and knew not what to say. God assured Jeremiah that He knew him even before he was born and that He will put the words in his mouth, and be with him all the way. If you are a child then you will be obedient to the father.
Jeremiah had no other choice but to obey like those called before; Moses and Joshua; even though he would be faced with criticism and opposition from authorities because they would not like what God wanted him to say. He was called to tear down, pluck out, and restore; so he kept speaking God’s word because when all else fail God’s word prevail.
God calls us to come to Him (Matthew 11: 28-30) “Come unto me all ye that labor----my yoke is easy and my burden light”.
We are a complaining generation, much unlike our parents and grand-parents; they worked tirelessly and were thankful to God for all their blessings, and things are better now than then, yet we complain. God knows our strength and abilities, thus we must trust Him and obey His call and will for our lives and stop worrying and working for the bread that perishes.
We must do things God’s way and adhere to His principles. Jeremiah obeyed His call and so must we. If ever this Nation need God is now. Looking around there is chaos, so many distractions, rebellion against God’s word, and evil. We must do our part.

THOUGHT
Be careful not only to hear but to heed.
