Reasons I Am Not Ashamed (Part 2)

Do you squirm if asked to pray or testify for God? All the apostles of Jesus endured many hardships, persecution and death. John was the only one who was not martyred for boldly preaching the gospel. We are all called to love and serve God. Paul, the Apostle speaks of this body of imperfection, which is the church; the wheat and the tares must grow together until the day of harvest.
Let us examine two more words which are also reasons why we should not be ashamed of the Gospel. God’s word teaches:-
a) Faith: This Gospel Paul says is for all who believe or demonstrate faith in God (1:16). Without faith it is impossible to please him. This faith means trust. “The just shall live by Faith”. This is a recurring theme throughout the Bible Acquisition of faith is a problem we all struggle with. Trust in Him and no one else because what God says is always true. There must be an element of expectation when you put your faith to work, step out into the unknown. Even if you cannot see it, still expect it, keep on praying for it/him/her – it will become a reality. Faith puts fear into flight. God has given you faith to overcome. Thank God with a level of expectancy.
b) Righteousness:- Through this salvation we are justified by faith, or “made righteous”. We are purified by the blood of Jesus Christ. When God forgives us he buries our sins in the sea of forgetfulness. Justification by Faith was a theme of the Reformation, and marked the beginning of the Protestant Church. The gospel offers righteousness and it is for all people, Jews and Gentiles alike.

THOUGHT
If we are ashamed of Jesus and the gospel, he will be ashamed of us as well.
