>em>Ebenezer Wesleyan Methodist Church is in mourning on the sudden passing of one of its long serving and faithful member Sis. Alicene Boatswain.Sis. Boatswain is the wife of Br. Rawl Selwyn Boatswain and the mother of three daughters. She passed away suddenly after returning home yesterday Saturday September 13th, 2007.
Sis. Aliicene became a member of this church after immigrating from her native and beloved island nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and has worshiped here up to last sunday September 7th, 2008 when she attended service and received the sacrament of holy communion with her beloved husband and her three grandsons. She was a member of class # 7, the manse committee for which she worked very zealously and also a strong supportrer of the Vincentian group her at Ebenezer. Everyone her at Ebenezer is in a state of shock on her sudden passing.
Funeral arrangements for Sis. Alicene Boatswain are in process and will be announce in this medium soon
May God bless her and received her soul in his glory.
May her soul rest in peace and light perpectual shines upon her.
Home Going service for Sr. Alicene Boatswain will be held at UNION UNITED METHODIST CHURCH on Thursday Sept. 25th. Her body will lie in repose at the church from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and service will begin at 7:00 PM.
Her body will then be moved from UNION UNITED METHODIST to her home church at EBENEZER WESLEYAN METHOTHIST CHURCH, where she will lie reposed until Friday Sept, 26th, 2008 for a service which will begin at 9:00 AM until. Her final resting place will be at Canarnsie Cemetary in Brooklyn, New York.
