What A Great Hope We Have

Have you ever asked yourself, "Why should I keep hope alive? or "Why should I hope when things seem impossible? Even in such a time there is Hope. Peter writing to the scattered Christians in Asia Minor, although writing within the context of persecution, wanted to assure them that they can hope in God, reminding them of the promise of Jesus Christ.
There are three things about this Hope:-
A) The Hope we have is a living Hope: The resurrection of Jesus was a once-and-for-all event in history in which lies the eminent evidence of our faith as a Church of Jesus Christ. As Christians we must exemplify that we are in Christ. We must demonstrate a different kind of approach to life and the things that impact the every-day occurrence, for we know God can do that which looks impossible. The battle is the Lord's. Peter speaks of this hope which is not a guessing game, this hope is the assurance that everything will be alright. He is in total control.
B) <b The Hope we have is Pure: Vs. 4b, says that it is an "incorruptible and undefiled" hope-a pure hope- Peter was ready to defend Jesus but soon failed and denied Him three times. However, he was welcomed back into the fellowship by Jesus, after the resurrection of Jesus. Jesus forgave him and He will forgive us; nothing can exempt us from the promise of God through Jesus Christ.
C) The Hope we have is an Everlasting Hope: (Vs.4b) It is an inheritance gained by the death and resurrection of Jesus. It is a hope "will never fade". Jesus promised, "I go to prepare a place for you...and will come again to receive you unto Myself." Our present tribulations will not last forever. We may be discouraged by the pressures of life and its failures, but God has the Power. He has reserved hope for all of us, a hope that does not disappoint, is living, pure and everlasting.

THOUGHT
Do not worry about the things beyond your control. Hope in God.
