Lift Him Up

Some people go to Church with various negative concepts of lifting up Christ. The word "Lift" has many definitions, but some of these concepts can be explained by Church member such as (a)coming to Church, singing the hymns and then go home, (b)some complain that the sermon is too long and (c)some left their minds at home, thinking of the ball game or food, (d) some think by giving their tithes that they are lifting Him up. Church should be a place where we are Glad to Go and Sad to leave.
Let us look at some ways we shoul Lift Him Up:
1) Exalt Him: We should sincerely praise, be filled with joy and pride, glorifying Him with gratitude and joy, being proud to give God the glory, not carrying a long face (the six-o'clock face). Vs. 14, says The Son of Man is worthy to be exalted. Exalt Him in a straight path not zig-zag like a snake. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, be focused, because wherever you turn your eyes there you will go. Exalt Him with fruits of our lives. What kind of fruits are you bearing? These fruits are what's in our hearts, from the abundance of the heart the mind meditates. Joy is not in the heart when it is not connected to the source which is the Lord.
2) Elevate Him: In Matthew 4:5 - 1, John the Baptist, says, "I must decrease and He must increase", his mission was to elevate Jesus. In (John 3:30), we must humble ourselves in His presence and exalt Him by lifting Him up, we lift Him up by the places we go, the books we read, the things we say, see Him as the element for all the world to see, be humble and clean, live by the faith of the Son of God. Let people see Jesus in you.
3) Our purpose in life is to exalt Him, live a Godly life, lift Him to the highest point, (Isaiah 6:13). When you are out of tune with God He knows, when we are in tune the Holy Spirit indwells us.
THOUGHT
We all have an encounter with God, let us keep on the Throne of our hearts and lift Him up to the highest point.
