Three Essential Virtues Of A Christian
By Marcus Haynes

Is Jesus making a difference in your life? Are you giving your all to accomplish the best life has to offer , or are you like some athletes or students who expect to reach higher heights but make little effort to live up to their potential? Some churches are at cross roads just going through the motions and being complacent on life. Paul’s letter to the Colossians shows (a) encouragement in the Christian faith, (b) to recognize Jesus, and complimented their virtues of forgiveness and kindness.
As Christians there are three essential virtues we must have: -
(1) FAITH: - Paul wrote to the faithful friends praying for them always for their faith. Their faith was known all around. It was centered on God and His word. There should be a correlation between what we say and do, and how people see us and think of us. Faith must be practiced. By faith we can move mountains; it puts fear into flight, and move us to greater things. God wants us to be a people of faith; the following passages tell us that “The just shall live by Faith”: Habakkuk 2:4: Romans 1:17: Galatians 3:11. If Jesus is the center of your faith your life will be different.
(2) LOVE:- Love for all of God’s people. What the world needs more of is Love. You must first love your brother and sister who you can see before you can truly love God who you cannot see. Jesus said to love even your enemies. Love has to be revolutionary.
(3) HOPE:- Faith and love is based on what you hope for, which is Heaven. Sometimes we allow pride to get ahead of us, rather than forgiving we seek revenge and wear ourselves out emotionally and physically.
THOUGHT
If you have no Hope, you cannot demonstrate Faith and Love.
